Are you overrun with stress and anxiety? Do you find it difficult to pay attention or keep focused on a given task? Do you feel lost in a world of constant demands on you and your time? Would you like to stop the craziness and cultivate a life of greater enjoyment? The practice of mindfulness is a simple and popular tool to help achieve all of this and more. While easy to master, it does require a little bit of work and practice.
In Just a Minute!, a process was introduced to turn lost, wasted time into Living Minutes. Through the process, you learned how to make time for building a better you, one Minute at a time. Indirectly, the Living MInutes were used to gently guide you into the practice of living mindfully. You learned how to capture and live in the present moment. This is the first step in the practice of mindfulness. Once you’ve learned how to reclaim your life by being mindful of the present moment, you can begin taking the final step.
In this book, Just a Moment!, you’ll learn exactly what mindfulness is and how it can help you live your best life possible. What was learned with the Living Minutes will be used to develop Mindful Moments – a series of 10- to 20-minute exercises designed to hone and deepen your ability to live mindfully. Next, you’ll be shown the Nourishing Meditations, a series of quick, guided meditations, self-affirmations, and visualizations that form the foundation of mindfulness practice. There are also exercises in personal growth and self-discovery that, together with the Living Minutes, Mindful Moments, and Nourishing Meditations, will provide you with all the tools you need to live mindfully and become your very own Life Captain!
